Choice of glass type affects window energy savings during heating

With the continuous advancement of technology, there are more and more types of glass. At present, the main types of glass for energy saving include heat-absorbing glass, coated glass, insulating glass, vacuum glass, etc. Among them, the popularization and use of insulating glass is a symbol of the progress of the times. Insulating glass is made of two or more layers of glass to seal the air layer. The interlayer is filled with inert gas with a large viscosity coefficient and a small thermal conductivity coefficient to reduce convection heat transfer in the interlayer. Therefore, the design should appropriately determine the spacing of the glass based on the needs of thermal resistance and the economic scale of the frame material. Generally, it should not be less than 9mm. In order to improve the thermal insulation performance of doors and windows, triple glazing can be made. In addition, glass coating with low-emissivity film can greatly reduce the radiation heat transfer between glasses. Of course, insulating glass can be matched with LOW-E or SUN-E glass. Due to its excellent optical and thermal properties, the thermal insulation performance is more outstanding.
